"The Quilter". This ACEO is 4th of four in my creative women series. It measures 2.5 x 3.5 and was created with ink and Prisma Colored pencils. This series was presented on my eBay auctions. I think I'll do another series of woman - I have lots of ideas.

"MOONFLOWERS"
Prismacolor Pencils on gessoed illustration board.
This lovely painting just won me 2nd prize at the Spring Show at the York Art Association. I love colored pencils but find that they are rarely taken seriously as a fine art medium. This prize was a delightful validation for color pencil artists!

"Still Life on Collage" - the painting on the left, and "Collage on Still Life" - the painting on the right. The left painting has paper collaged to the support, and acrylic paint on the top. Some of the paper was textured enough to show its texture in the paint. The painting on the right was further collaged on the top. This photo is a little small, so it's difficult to see the faces in the center of the flowers - I like the surprises you can see onlyup close! Now I can enter these (2) paintings in the juried show as a good representation of my work - Abstract Realism in mixed media.

I've painted the still lifes studies on canvas using acrylic paint, with textured paper under as part of the support under the paint. I wanted to enter them in a juried show coming up in June. But the show requires that I enter (2) paintings that best represent my body of work. These (2) pantings are the same, but I dont have time to start another painting from scratch. So - I'll have to make some changes to these . . .

"Vertical & orizontal" Another in a series of practice collages - design practice. They measure approximately 5" x 8" and the found papers are mounted on 140b watercolor paper. Daily art gets the creative juices flowing - Gerald Brommer recommends doing a small collage every morning to start the creative day!
