Oh, the critique - guess what all of them did not like -
the Cobalt blue "Parrish" sky.
They said, since my instructions were to "paint the land", the blue sky was the first thing their eyes were drawn to, that it was a distraction from the "LAND".
So - good-bye to my cobalt blue sky.
This is the finished painting I will be submitting for the show.
I love the new sky!! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is spectacular. And I love having had the opportunity to see it from start to finish.
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful. I love the paler sky.
ReplyDeleteJUDY! The finished painting is STUNNING! I love it, it is so dreamy and yet dramatic, simply wonderful. I really admire this work.
ReplyDeletePS> It is the vibrancy of the blue sky that makes the GREENERY of the land even more impressive... that is my critique. I disagree with your critics, It looks fantastic to me.
ReplyDeleteWow, just beautiful. Kim
ReplyDeleteWow! I love the sky! Why didn't they like it? It feels like a storm is building over the farm and the farm is so small and vulnerable in contrast to those threatening clouds. Love it!

Oh, Judy--how wonderful this painting is. It fills my eyes--which is the greatest compliment I can give.
