Here's a sketch for an abstract realistic painting. Using patterns and lights and darks for interest. I thought I'd put a shadow of Kokopelli in the background, not sure if that will work.
I had a request for some RAVEN ACEO's. This one is called "Raven's Egg". It measures the traditional 2.5 x 3.5 and was created with Prisacolor Pencils.
While I was working on scenes of lakes, I thought I would focus on the cattails on the shore. I live on a lake, and I cherish the little patch of cattails I am lucky enough to have. They just showed up one year - I did not plant them. This version has been abstracted a little to add some variation of color and patterns.
While I was busy thinking about beaches - I thought I would try a lake scene.
This one turned out rather busy and possibly too fragmented. It might work on a very large canvas. Interesting how the ideas in my head never show up on paper the same way!
I'm doing some studies from my Key West photos. I'd like to do a beach scene using the Cubist Abstract/Realism tehnique. This has been done in the ACEO/ATC format, 2.5 x 3.5 using prismacolored pencils.
