Colored Pencils were made for flowers.

 I started out with an abstract conceptual design, but, 

flowers just need to be flowers. 

I was intrigued with the design element 

I could make with the marks I etched

 into the paper before the color was laid on. 

This is very rich with many many layers.

My second attempt at abstract with my colored pencils, This one is completely conceptual. no inspiring photos, just winging it! 

The white line were etched into the paper before the painting began. 

They are rather intriging ~ right?

I used an aerial map as a reference. 

However, I think it might be too literal, 

so back to the sketch pad.
