Turn Down That Noise - Mixed Media Collage Painting

This painting is almost pure collage - except for the painted background.

Layers and layers of 
~sheet music and paper
~ painted tissue paper
~ fabic
~ embroidery thread

I added washes of acrylic paint to send some areas to the background, giving the viewers eyes a place to rest.

I have titled it

Turn Down That Noise

simply because it is so loud and busy. I might need to add more quiet space.

Putting it aside and will consider it later.

Starting a new abstract collage.

I've prepared the canvas with layers of paper, stencils, and paint. I like to use the gallery wrapped canvas and always extend the painting around the sides.

 Marionettes

I am doing a second marionette collage painting. This time I will create three in my painting.

Once again, I've prepared the canvas with layers of color, stencils, and paper. I've drawn my puppets on brown paper with colored pencils. 

In retrospect, next time I will use white paper. The brown paper is dull, not bright enough for my main characters.
