Acrylic Mixed Media Sommelier Dog Wine Painting

HAIR OF THE DOG

This fun and whimsical painting will be the featured star of my August exhibit at the
Adams County Winery, 25C Chambersburg St., Gettysburg PA 17325.

The gallery wrapped canvas was collaged with old sheet music which can be seen
in the background. I used acrylic markers
to build the first layer of the
painting. Finding just the right dog took a lot of research
as he needed to look good in red.
Frenchie was the perfect choice!

Landscape Acrylic Painting

LANDSCAPE PAINTING

Landscape painting is a genre I normally avoid. There are so so many talented artists who paint beautiful realistic landscape paintings that I did not want to get lost in the crowd. Hence the reason I paint conceptual whimsical colorful paintings.

But my family has said to me on more than one occasion -
"Why don't you paint something someone might like?".
So I decided to do just that.
I will hang it in a show this summer and see what the reception is.

Recycled Painting - Red Flower in Acrylic with Collage

Another Recycled Painting,
an old painting that needs a new lease on life.
Rather than spend years in the closet,
I've re-invented this canvas.
Painted over with gesso, then stenciled and glazed,
creating a background to start a new painting.

The flower petals were cut from a
1935 issue of Home and Garden.
