Portfolio Critque

It is ok to include black and white illustrations – but you should also take the same illustration and translate it into color. Doing both shows your versatility.  Also, the market for Black and White is much smaller.

    I am hearing that more middle grade books are using ilustration, and even some YA books. These use more black and white illustrations. This one seems appropriate for that age group.

    I am a member of SCBWI as well, and have a strong interest in illustration. I like most of the work you've shown. Have you checked out Bijou's Whimsy? (blog)
