I hope this lovely gardener still has a smile on her face after I get done with her!! I've given her at least a dozen coats of acrylic medium, allowing each to dry completely. Then - I soaked the back of the paper with water. As the paper becomes thoroughly wet, I gently would recommend that you literally put the whole drawing in a basin of water, works better than a spray bottle. And "gently" is the operative word here - as you can see the dear lady lost her knee as I was rubbing too hard. Or possibly, I did not have enough layers of the medium. The end product will look much better than it does right now!!
