Permission to Play

Robert Burridge - you might recognize his Martini paintings or his starbucks Coffee Cup series -maybe his new clown series -  visit his website, subscribe to his newsletter or if you're very lucky - attend one of his workshops. The first thing he does is give you

 "PERMISSION TO PLAY"

You can't separate your life from your art -
they are the same -
to be successful, paint what you know and love.

I was lucky to attend his "Loosen Up" Workshop in Snow Hill, Maryland.
What a fabulous quaint little Eastern Shore town.
A step back in time, full of friendly, generous giving people.
Great food - Antiques - Boutiques - Pocomoke River - Art Galleries.

Visit Barb Dougherty's American Art Gallery in Snow Hill, MD,
where Burridge and many wonderful other artists are represented.
A European style gallery, that does more than let you view the art,
it encourages you to become involved with the art, to know it personally, to love it!
Please spend some time with Barb, a truly remarkable and uber smart lady!

Tomorrow I will post some of my exercise paintings . . .
