My Uninspiring Studio ~ 9.13.09

"Whether you create in a spacious, specially built art studio, a tiny corner of the living room or a transformed garage, it has to be a comfortable spot for you inner artist to emerge."
Angela Cartwright

My studio is in the garage - the only thing transformed about it is that we no longer park the cars in there. I do share it with two Labrador Retrievers, the pantry, anything car related, and the beer refrigerator - which would be great if I drank beer!

It is an extended garage, so I have the whole back end. I have filled it with a large drafting table, flat file, work table, lots of storage, and here'es the best - a small kitchen area with running water and kitche cabinets for more storage.

Is this space inspiring - hell no! It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. In the spring it smells like wet dogs. And no matter how much I try, I can't compete with the spiders for the space.

Lots of work to turn this around!
